The Dighty Connect project launches its creative writing anthology 'She Feeds The Sea' this Wednesday evening with an open-air reading (with shelter available in case of rain!) in Finlathen Park, Dundee on Wednesday 9th May at 7pm. The anthology contains work from WN Herbert, John Glenday, Matthew Fitt and Dawn Wood among others, and is sure to be an evocative read. In addition, there will be also be the unveiling of a new public art piece - a
mosaic seat that has been created by a group of artists working
in Douglas community centre, which will complement the mosaic seat that
they installed at the back of Douglas nearly three years ago.
Please meet at the car park next to the stone
viaduct on Fountainbleau Drive next to the old squash courts and the
play park, not far from Morrisons supermarket - watch out for the
balloons! The event will include a short AGM for the Broughty Ferry Environmental
Project. Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be served....

Is the anthology going to be available to buy, Andy. I grew up with the Dighty (a Fintry lad!) and this sounds like a fabulous project. Might even inspire some new work from me. The burn in that area now is very different to the one I grew up with in the 60's and 70's
